The shoe collection is phenomenal. Everything from dress shoes for women to dress shoes for male are available. A shoe lover's dream come true.
Their prices are higher and higher each time I go. They no longer carry a children's shoe line and their selection of athletic shoes is constantly dwindling. I'd be better to buy in a mall store.
Almost went crazy in there... they had to call Security.. left out with 6 pairs... please Lord forgive me for I know not what I have done
While it would have helped to have a little guidance since I was looking for something specific, DSW always has great selection (and prices aren't terrible) so I had no trouble fining what I needed - even at the last minute and without investigating online beforehand!
Went in 10min before closing the other day fully expecting the door to already be locked or to be turned away as the staff prepared to go home for the night. However, I was pleasantly surprised. While I wasn't offered any assistance to find what I needed, I did not encounter any negative attitudes nor did anyone "remind" me to hurry up. Compared to (generally poor) customer service during closing hours at other retail shops, I was quite pleased with this experience overall.
I definitely recommend DSW if you're looking for quality and value in men's and women's shoes. They also have a decent selection of purses and satchels. If you're into labels, DSW does live up to its name in carrying a variety of U.S. and international designers and everything from casual to professional, comfy to trendy. -NuttieFoodie
